Ethics/Code of Conduct

Preamble

Japan EHS Audit Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "our company"), as a group of experts in the fields of EHS and ESG, has the mission of contributing to the sustainable development of society. In order to fulfill this mission, it is essential that we not only comply with laws and regulations, but also conduct business activities based on high ethical standards that exceed the expectations of society.

We have established our "Code of Ethics and Conduct" as the basic principles that our executives, employees, and all business partners involved in our business (hereinafter collectively referred to as "we") must adhere to in all situations.

1. Honest and Fair Business Activities

We will always conduct business activities with honesty, fairness, and transparency. In all circumstances, we will put honesty first and treat our customers, business partners, and society with sincerity.

 

2. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

We will comply with applicable laws, regulations, standards, and internal company rules in all countries and regions in which we conduct business, and will act in accordance with social norms and corporate ethics.

 

3. Maintaining and Improving Expertise

As professionals, we strive to constantly improve ourselves and provide high-quality services with the latest knowledge and highest level of expertise in EHS and ESG.

 

4. Independence and objectivity

We will always maintain an independent stance in our audit and consulting work, making fair and neutral judgments based on objective facts, without being influenced by any pressure or vested interests.

 

5. Thorough Confidentiality

We will strictly manage confidential information of customers and third parties that we learn in the course of business, and will not disclose or leak it without a valid reason, or use it for purposes other than those intended. Details will be in accordance with the separately established "Confidentiality Policy."

 

6. Prevention of Bribery and Corruption

We will not engage in any corrupt practices, including bribery, illegal political donations, or the provision of improper benefits to domestic or international public officials or business partners. We will also not offer or receive gifts or entertainment that exceed socially accepted standards.

 

7. Management of Conflicts of Interest

We recognize the possibility of conflicts of interest arising in our work, and will act with integrity and manage conflicts of interest appropriately to ensure that the interests of our clients are not undermined.

 

8. Respect for Human Rights

We respect basic human rights and do not discriminate or harass anyone based on race, nationality, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, etc. We ensure a safe and healthy working environment.

 

9. Environmental Consideration

We recognize the impact that our business activities have on the environment, and will contribute to reducing the burden on the environment by striving to conserve energy and resources, reduce waste, etc.

 

Putting this Code into Practice

The Representative Director is responsible for establishing a system for putting this Code into practice and ensuring its thorough implementation. We will continually provide education and training on this Code and strive to instill its spirit. If we become aware of any behavior that violates this Code or that may violate it, we will promptly report it to and consult with the designated contact point.
