Climate change is causing more frequent natural disasters such as torrential rains, heatwaves, floods, and droughts, which directly impact a company's business continuity and employee safety. Therefore, integrating climate change adaptation measures with EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) management is essential for sustainable business operations.

First, is preparation for natural disaster risks. Implementing flood countermeasures in factories and offices, improving work environments to prevent heatstroke, and strengthening disaster drills are common issues for both climate change adaptation and EHS management. By designing employee health management and Business Continuity Plans (BCP) in an integrated way, companies can minimize damage in the event of a disaster.

Second, is managing the impact of rising temperatures and extreme weather on the work environment. In high-temperature work conditions, it is crucial to implement occupational health measures such as temperature monitoring using IoT sensors, optimizing break times, and installing water stations. These are fundamental EHS frameworks, and by incorporating adaptation measures, employee safety is further enhanced.

Third, is managing climate risks in the supply chain. If raw material suppliers or logistics networks are located in areas vulnerable to climate change, it becomes necessary to secure alternative procurement routes and review inventory management. The EHS department contributes to reducing procurement risks through supply chain audits and risk assessments.

Fourth, is the use of data analysis and predictive models. By integrating climate data and environmental monitoring results into the EHS management system, it is possible to predict the probability of accidents or health-related incidents and take proactive safety measures. The use of AI and big data analysis improves the accuracy of risk management.

Furthermore, companies must fulfill their accountability to stakeholders. By incorporating climate change adaptation measures into CSR and integrated reports and disclosing them along with EHS initiatives, companies can increase trust from investors and local communities.

Thus, integrating climate change adaptation measures with EHS management is a strategic approach for strengthening a company's resilience and achieving sustainable growth. Flexibly responding to environmental changes while protecting the safety and health of employees is directly linked to an increase in corporate value.
