In recent years, human capital management has become a central theme for enhancing corporate value, and the use of EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) data related to employee health, safety, and well-being is leading to new value creation. As the importance of human capital gains attention from investors and regulatory authorities, EHS data is being strategically positioned as a management resource, moving beyond mere compliance.


First, is the enhancement of employee engagement. Visualizing data on the number of workplace accidents, days of lost work, and improvements to the work environment, and sharing the improvement process with employees, fosters a safety culture throughout the organization. A safe and healthy workplace boosts employee motivation and productivity, leading to a qualitative improvement in human capital.


Second, is the strengthening of information disclosure to investors and stakeholders. Disclosing EHS data as non-financial information in line with international standards such as ISO and GRI increases corporate transparency and attracts ESG investment. By linking and presenting human capital data with EHS metrics, a company can demonstrate its serious commitment to sustainability.


Third, is the advancement of risk management through data utilization. By using AI and big data analysis to identify early signs of workplace accidents or health risks and enabling a prompt response, companies can reduce the risk of production shutdowns due to accidents or illnesses. This allows companies to achieve stable operations and enhance resilience.


Furthermore, EHS data is also linked to the human capital management strategy for talent development. Analyzing employee health management data enables the implementation of appropriate working hour management and mental health measures, contributing to improved employee retention and support for career development.


In this way, EHS data serves as a foundation that supports a company's growth and competitive strength in human capital management. Strategically utilizing data related to safety and health and maximizing the value of human capital are key to sustainable corporate management.
